Sheila wants build a rectangular play space for her dog. She has 100 feet of fencing and she wants it to be 5 times as long as it is wide. What dimensions should the play area be?

Sheila wants:
  1. l =5w
  2. 2l + 2w = 100 <-- Perimeter
Substitute (1) into (2)
2(5w) + 2w = 100
10w + 2w = 100
12w = 100

Divide each side by 12
w = 8.3333

Which means l = 5(8.3333) --> l = 41.6667
